We live in a world where people want to distinguish between faith and secular, between belief in God and things that don’t pertain to God. But nothing is neutral. Everything is either bringing us closer to God or taking us away from God. Everything is worship. We either worship God or we worship whatever other gods we have set up. All this is to say that there is no such thing as secular. There is no area of life where God does not relate, or expect worship. And because everything pertains to faith, either causing it to grow or drying it up, whatever we might call secular is actually against faith. Anything, therefore, that claims to be secular is actually pagan. It is not only not Christian, it is anti-Christian. It claims to have no impact on our walk with God, but it takes us away from God and seeks to destroy our relationship with him.
